Home Camp Meetup

THANK YOU ALL MAKING IT A GREAT SUCCESS - Watch this space for the next one - Happy Hols.

When?

Monday 13th December 2010 from 4 - 8pm.

Where?

The venue is in London, near St Pancras, http://www.creativecollaboration.org.uk

How do I sign-up?

Sign up via the Eventbrite page - free tickets but spaces are limited.

You should also register your intent to come along on our Lanyrd page! If you wish you can start to propose topics/sessions on Lanyrd but in true *Camp style the actual sessions will be decided on the day.

What is this all about?

There has been quite a lot of discussion on the Homecamp Google Group about HomeCamp3. James (@monkchips) and Chris (@yellowpark) had plans and MikeTheBee (that's me @mikethebee) wanted to arrange a get-together before the end of 2010.

The full programme is now up on the http://hcul1.eventbrite.com page

Virtual Home Camp on OpenSim

We have a HomeCamp sim on ReactionGrid, OpenSim. More details here.

The SIM is no longer available, ReactionGrid could not fund the costs of free worlds, unfortunately, but your login should still work.

Useful CodeSave

CurrentCost data parsing:

Additional resources for Current Cost hacking :-)

MQTT:

Kinda like RSS for small devices, but without the polling bottleneck issues.

Open source client, written in Ruby - http://mqtt.rubyforge.org/

Not sure where to put other links about energy monitoring (not current cost). Pls advise.

Here's one on @paul_tanner's blog.
